Planning a road trip, should I get the suspension checked first?

I’d been putting off getting a knocking sound checked on my Golf for weeks because I was convinced it would turn into an expensive saga. Two places had already looked at it and given me vague answers that didn’t fill me with confidence, so I wasn’t expecting much. A colleague mentioned an Expert Volkswagen Golf suspension workshop near Al Safa and said they actually diagnose properly rather than guessing. I booked it in and they found a worn anti roll bar link straight away, showed me the play in it, and had it sorted the same day. The bill was reasonable and the car feels tight again. I know one good experience doesn’t guarantee anything, but it was a relief to deal with people who knew what they were looking at. Anyone else had a similar runaround before finding somewhere decent?
